February is American Heart Month! The Centers for Disease Control stress the importance of preventing of heart disease. One element of prevention should involve regular exercise. In fact, the Mayo Clinic suggests that people exercise for at least thirty minutes a day. At Playland Skate Center, we think a great part of regular exercise should include roller skating! Roller skating is good for the heart as it provides a great aerobic alternative to walking or running. When roller skating, not only are you getting that heart rate up, but you are also burning calories (up to 600 calories per hour!).

Valentine’s Day Weekend Skating
Join us at Playland Skate Center to revisit the nostalgia of falling in love at the roller skating rink and falling in love with roller skating! We know that roller skating +romantic love songs = magic moments on the rink! And besides, roller skating with that special someone makes for the perfect excuse to hold their hand as well!
