New Year’s Resolutions at Playland

We are so excited to enter into 2015 with completed goals under our belt from 2014. After all, 2014 was a year of change for us here at Playland Skate Center in Austin, TX. We were able to install a brand new wood skating floor, and we expanded our birthday party celebration area. While we enter into the new year reflecting on the past, we also have new goals and resolutions for 2015. We know that many people make New Year’s resolutions and goals. In fact, CBS News reports that about 40% of Americans make New Year’s Resolutions.

While common resolutions include getting fit, eating healthier, managing finances better, and learning something new, it is true that only about 8% of people actually stick to their resolutions and see them through. This may seem like the odds are stacked against you if you have made a New Year’s Resolution. However, at Playland Skate Center, want to encourage you not to give up on your New Year’s Resolutions.Roller Skate

You can count yourself among that 8% of people that see their resolutions through! Here’s how Playland Skate Center will help you keep some of the most common resolutions:

Learn Something New

If you have put your mind to learning a new skill this year, then Playland Skate Center  is the place to be on Sunday mornings! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced skater, there is always something to learn. Our Sunday morning skate lessons will help you accomplish this goal. What’s even better is that our skating lessons are free! We see that as a two for one resolution! You get to learn something new and save money at the same time!

Get in Shape/Lose Weight

If you are looking for a fun way to get fit or stay fit, then look no further! Roller skating is fun that you can feel! You’ll burn off the calories while skating (some reports say up to 600 calories per hour!). While the actual amount of calories varies, this helpful calculator will help you determine your calorie burning to help you reach your goals. We can also add, that roller skating provides less impact than running when it comes to exercising, and therefore it is easier on those joints.

Don’t miss out on meeting your New Year’s Resolutions! Join us at Playland Skate Center to make 2015 the best year ever!
